Student Spotlight: Tea Promreuk
EVYMS is a great place to grow up. Here's a student perspective Q&A with Tea Promreuk, who has been taking piano lessons at EVYMS since she was four years old.

Q: What do you love most about Yamaha?
A: I like how there are a lot of kids here and it's easy to make friends. My friends are my classmates and they're really fun to play with. We play piano together and sometimes I see them outside of class.
Q: What's your favorite part of class?
A: There's lots of things I like about it. Mostly the songs I like are really fun to play with, and sometimes my friends get partnered up with me and I have fun. We play duets.
Q: Do you like performing for an audience?
A: I always like to perform, but whenever I hear that I'm going to perform I get really nervous. But when I am performing I feel really comfortable with doing it. I perform probably three times a year, maybe.
Q: What are you looking forward to this year at Yamaha?
A: I'm performing at JOC. It's when we go to a church and we perform our compositions in front of a bunch of people. I'm kind of nervous of the recording because I've never done it before. This is my first time to JOC.
Q: What's your favorite song to play?
A: I like a bunch of songs. I always wanted to learn how to play Four Seasons by Vivaldi. And I like to play my group lessons songs since they're easy and not as complicated as my private lessons. My favorite song in group lessons would be El Zapateado.
Q: What do you like to do when you're not in music class?
A: I like to play the Wii with my friends. I also like to do rollerblading and iceskating.
Q: How often do you practice piano?
A: Usually, like, twice or once a day, like 20 minutes.
Q: What advice would you give to a new piano player?
A: You'll have to practice a lot. And spend a lot of time with piano.
